"High Tea" with So Chef!

2016 JHB School 1 

Come and celebrate with us the diversity of French cuisine and share some recipes with the Chefs on Sunday 9th October at Maboneng Precinct, in partnership with the Johannesburg Culinary and Pastry School!

French Chef Daniel Grondin from Reunion Island, who has 30 years experience as a Chef, will conduct a workshop at the JHB Culinary and Pastry School for twenty or so enthusiastic students.

Afterwards, the JHB Culinary & Pastry School will open its doors to the public to enjoy an afternoon "High Tea". The social event as per the fine English tradition is a light meal served with delicate eats usually cakes and pastries and other finger food.

Come and taste the delicious pastries made by the students!

 

What's on the menu?

Savoury items accompanied by sweet bread:

Quiche – butternut and caramelised Onion
Scone-Cheese
Open Sandwiches
Bagel-Roast Beef
Pâté Créole

Amandine poire tart
Cannelés de Bordeaux
Sweet potato cakes
Éclair with Amarula Parfait
Fruit Tartlets
Apple Crumble
Mini Brownie
Cheesecake
Mini Red-Velvet Cupcake
