Molière`s classic play "The Miser" in a stunning interpretation at the Market Theatre of Johannesburg

From 25 October to 09 December 2012, do not miss Sylvaine Strike's remarkably contemporary interpretation of Moliere’s timeless classic "The Miser" at the Market Theatre of Johannesburg. A deliciously mean comedy, this play written in 1668 magnifies the madness of a father’s greed, paranoia and suspicion. Two siblings, their respective lovers and a gaggle of oppressed servants all endure the ghastly avarice that is Harpagon’s... But for how much longer? In the hugely sought after role of Harpagon "The Miser", Lionel Newton is at the helm.

The Miser - From 25 October to 09 December 2012 - Market Theatre (Newton, Johannesburg) - An event part of the France-South Africa Seasons 2012&2013
