Dibuka - the francophone multimedia library of Johannesburg

DIBUKALOGO

 

Dibuka is a multi-media library focussing on France and contemporary francophone culture, the result of a partnership between the French Embassy in South Africa, the French Institute of South Africa and the Alliance française of Johannesburg.

The library offers to the general public almost 20 000 documents for adults, teenagers and children: books, comics, CD's and videos (French cinema and documentaries, French Press, manuals to learn French, French language teaching aid and more...

Tuesday : 9h30 to 12h30 & 14h00 to 19h30

Wednesday : 9h30 to 12h30 & 14h00 to 19h30

Thursday : 8h30 to 12h30 & 14h00 to 19h30

Friday : 9h30 to 12h30 & 14h00 to 18h00

Saturdays: 9h30 to 13h30

 

How to become a member?

First think you need to read and accept our Terms and conditions!

Subscription for 12 months:
Individuals: R200
Students, scholars and Alliance Française students: R100

Please present the following on application:
Identity document
Proof of domicile
Where appropriate: student card, proof of inscription as a Alliance Française student, proof of teacher of French status
