SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT BEFORE Wednesday 16th of November, 2016!
La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde has been created by the Institut français, in partnership with the International Organisation of la Francophonie and France Médias Monde - France 24, RFI, Monte Carlo Doualyia - to support talented new filmmakers from Southern and emerging countries.
This programme has been developed in close association with the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film. About ten projects in development of 1st or 2nd feature film are selected and invited to Cannes every year. The aim is to create concrete opportunities for these projects by providing access to different activities and personalized support through one-to-one and group meetings with key players in the film industry.
You must register online before Wednesday 16th of November, 2016. A maximum of 120 projects will be accepted.

THE SCHEDULE IN CANNES!
In 2016, the directors and producers have participated in : 3 working sessions with Jia Zhang-Ke, patron of La Fabrique des Cinémas du Monde 2016, 4 workshops (production strategy, pitching, image and sound), 24 group meetings with the key players of the industry (heads of funds, festivals, distributors, sales agents, heads of international organisations...), 2 professional lunches with international sales agents, heads of coproduction markets and international funds and 248 one to one meetings with French, European and international producers and sales agents.
MAIN SELECTION CRITERIA
• Directors must come from one of the eligible countries (see the list on the website)
• The project must be the director's first or second feature-length film (fiction, documentary or animation)
• The project must have a local producer (or a producer from one of the eligible countries) who has produced a short- or feature-length film in the last five years
• Each director or production company may only submit one film project
• Co-producers may not apply but they must appear in the registration form
• The director and/or the producer must speak English
The film's provisional budget must be less than €3 million.
