Bande de filles (Girlhood) is the second installment of Le Movie Club's comedy theme. Directed by Céline Sciamma, Bande de filles tells the story of Marieme, who has lived her sixteen years as a series of thou-shall-not’s: the neighbourhood censorship, the boys’ rule, the deadlock at school. Her encounter with three liberated girls changes everything. They dance, they fight, they speak loudly, they take life lightly. Marieme becomes Vic, joins the gang, and truly lives her youth.
