Celebrating the father of special effects Georges Méliès

Sunday 14 August 2011 - Impac Festival

For the celebration of the birth of the French cinematographer Georges Méliès, Impac festival features a programme of short films including the famous A trip to the moon (Voyage sur la lune). The programme will be accompanied by live music. The Rotoscope Orchestra under the direction of local artist Magalela Mtshali, will play original soundscapes that pay moving tribute to the spirit of innovation in Méliès' work.

About iMPAC
