Muriel Tramis (FR)
was born in Martinique. A graduate of a Parisian engineering school, she is a pioneer in the design of video games and educational software, one of the few to have brought a feminine perspective to the creation of this new media.
From 1987 to 1998, she designed and directed the production of a dozen adventure games at the Coktel Vision studio, the jewel in the crown of the French Touch of video games. From 1990 to 2002, she contributed to the creation of the ADI (Accompagnement Didacticiel Intelligent) range which, with its ADIBOU suite, enjoyed international success. From 2003 to 2017, at the head of her company Avantilles, she specialized in the creation of Virtual Reality applications dedicated to urban planning projects.
During all these professional years, her commitment to women and young people led her to militate in colleges to encourage this public to pursue scientific careers. Still inspired by her Caribbean origins, she will publish, in 2011, an autofiction "Au coeur du giraumon" and, in 2014, a collection of short stories "Contes créoles et cruels" (Creole and cruel tales).
In 2018, she was made a Chevalier de la Légion d'Honneur for being a pioneer in the creation of video games in France. Muriel TRAMIS is currently preparing a new video game on the same theme as her first ones, Mewilo and Freedom.
