Gautrain stations come alive with a photographic exhibition

Gautrain stations have this year provided a different venue for part of the 9th Biennial Danse l’Afrique danse! An exhibition of portraits and photographs by French artist Antoine Tempé, which seeks to celebrate performances by the greatest African and Afro-American contemporary dancers, is currently on display at Gautrain stations in Park, Rosebank, Sandton, Midrand and Hatfield.

Through a new meeting between movement, music, body and space, a new form of contemporary dance has appeared in recent years. Antoine Tempé’s photographs confront us with this creative vitality from the African Continent. Presented in very large format, outdoors, in public spaces, these images transport us, transform us and get us moving.

Exhibition from 28 September in Gautrain Station - Danse l’Afrique danse! is organised as part of the France-South Africa Seasons 2012 & 2013
