Several French galleries at the FNB Jo'burg Art Fair 2012

The 5th edition of the FNB Joburg Art Fair will open its doors in Sandton on Friday 7th of September. The event will showcase under one roof  the largest selection of African contemporary art in South Africa to view, purchase or be inspired by. In the framework of the France-South Africa Seasons 2012 & 2013, several renowed French galleries will be at the Fair. The Galerie Baudoin Lebon will present artists Malala Andrialavidrazana, whose exhibition “ECHOES” (from Indian Ocean) just took place at the KZN SA Gallery in Durban, Alain Clément (in partnership with Nirox Foundation) and Christian Courrèges (in partnership with Nirox Project). The Galerie Galéa will introduce Jean-Christophe Ballot, Pierre Mathieu and André Clements (from SA). In addition to this exciting partnership, a roundtable discussion on the theme "Hybridisation: A Method in Contomporary Art" will be animated by Raphael Cuir (France) and Bronwyn Law-Viljoen (South Africa), with international scholars and artists in the panel.
