DREAM — “Drafting and Enacting the REvolutions in the Arab Mediterranean” is a research programme financed by the European Research Council (ERC-Consolidator Grant) during five years. Programme director Leyla Dakhli and her team aim to map the genealogy of the uprisings which have stirred the Arab Mediterrean region, from Morocco to Syria, since the 1950s. This event is a joint seminar Centre for Social Change / IFAS-Research.

Leyla Dakhli was born in Tunis in 1973 and holds a doctorate in history, specialising in the intellectual and social history of the modern Arab world. She is a Research Director at the CNRS (National Centre for Scientific Research, France). She has been a Research Associate at the Centre Marc Bloch in Berlin since 2014, where she directs the research programme DREAM.
