Online Seminar: Researching institutional xenophobia at school in South Africa

Jeanne Bouyat, chercheuse invitée à IFAS-Recherche et postdoc au Centre for Education Rights and Transformation (CERT) de la Faculté d’éducation de l’université de Johannesburg, présentera un séminaire en ligne sur la xénophobie institutionnelle à l’école en Afrique du Sud. Sa thèse explore la façon dont la xénophobie dans l’Afrique du Sud post-apartheid est reflétée, amplifiée et atténuée à l’école. Son travail porte également sur le fonctionnement interne des administrations publiques et des organisations qui défendent les droits des immigrants en matière d’éducation.

Jeanne Bouyat, invited researcher at IFAS-Research and postdoc at the the Centre for Education Rights and Transformation (CERT) in the Faculty of Education of the University of Johannesburg, will present an online seminar on institutional xenophobia at school in South Africa. Her dissertation explores how xenophobia in post-apartheid South Africa is reflected, amplified and attenuated at school. Her work also focuses on the inner-working of state administrations and organisations advocating for immigrants’ educational rights.
