Health historians have researched these issues belonging to the field of social and economic history. We have selected two papers focusing on the history of the plague in West Africa from the fourteenth to the nineteenth century and on the Spanish flu in 1918 South Africa.\u00a0They help to put the current pandemic into perspective, both in its effects on societies and in the responses that have been given to them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>Divers pand\u00e9mies et \u00e9pid\u00e9mies ont touch\u00e9 le continent africain depuis des si\u00e8cles et les historiens de la sant\u00e9 ont travaill\u00e9 sur ces questions, qui rel\u00e8vent de l\u2019histoire sociale et \u00e9conomique. Nous vous proposons ici deux liens vers des travaux consacr\u00e9s \u00e0 la peste en Afrique de l\u2019Ouest du XIVe au XIXe si\u00e8cle et \u00e0 la grippe espagnole en Afrique du Sud in 1918.
