Dans le cadre de la pr\u00e9paration d\u2019un volume sp\u00e9cial d\u00e9di\u00e9 \u00e0 la transition Pl\u00e9istoc\u00e8ne\/Holoc\u00e8ne telle qu\u2019elle est document\u00e9e \u00e0 Bushman Rock Shelter (Mpumalanga), l’\u00e9quipe de recherche de ce site, men\u00e9e par Aurore Val (Universit\u00e9 Aix-Marseille & University of the Witwatersrand), a souhait\u00e9 organiser une rencontre regroupant \u00e9tudiant\u00b7es et chercheur\u00b7euses travaillant en Afrique australe, afin de discuter de divers projets en cours portant sur les changements pal\u00e9oenvironnementaux et culturels associ\u00e9s \u00e0 la fin du Pl\u00e9istoc\u00e8ne et au d\u00e9but de l\u2019Holoc\u00e8ne dans la r\u00e9gion. Ce moment cl\u00e9 de la pr\u00e9histoire d\u2019Afrique australe fait l\u2019objet, depuis plusieurs ann\u00e9es, d\u2019un renouveau dans les travaux de recherche arch\u00e9ologique de terrain. Ce s\u00e9minaire fera la part belle aux travaux d\u2019\u00e9tudiant\u00b7es r\u00e9cemment achev\u00e9s ou en cours , en esp\u00e9rant stimuler le dialogue autour des probl\u00e9matiques phares li\u00e9es \u00e0 la fin du Pl\u00e9istoc\u00e8ne et au d\u00e9but de l\u2019Holoc\u00e8ne en Afrique australe. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As part of preparing a special issue dedicated to the Pleistocene\/Holocene transition as documented at Bushman Rock Shelter, this conference, led by Aurore Val (Universit\u00e9 Aix-Marseille & University of the Witwatersrand) brings together students and researchers working in southern Africa to discuss various ongoing projects related to paleoenvironmental and cultural changes associated with the end of the Pleistocene and the beginning of the Holocene in the region. In recent years, this key period in southern African prehistory has seen a renewed interest in archaeological research. This seminar will highlight recently completed or ongoing research by students, hoping to stimulate dialogue around key issues related to the end of the Pleistocene and the beginning of the Holocene in southern Africa. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
