Il encourage et soutient <strong>les recherches en sciences humaines et sociales<\/strong> portant sur l\u2019un (ou plusieurs) pays au sein de cette vaste aire g\u00e9ographique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour la\ndeuxi\u00e8me ann\u00e9e, l\u2019IFAS-Recherche se propose d\u2019attribuer quelques bourses pour <strong>l\u2019organisation de manifestations scientifiques se tenant\nau moins en partie dans les locaux de l\u2019IFAS-Recherche <\/strong>(colloques,\njourn\u00e9es d\u2019\u00e9tude, s\u00e9minaires), \u00e0 Johannesbourg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Ces manifestations devront se tenir <strong>entre mars et juillet ou entre septembre et novembre 2025<\/strong>. Elles devront \u00eatre port\u00e9es par <strong>un bin\u00f4me de chercheur\u00b7ses<\/strong> (\u00e0 partir du doctorat), l\u2019un\u00b7e bas\u00e9\u00b7e dans une institution fran\u00e7aise, l\u2019autre dans une institution ou un laboratoire d\u2019un des douze pays du mandat de l\u2019UMIFRE.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les bourses\nallou\u00e9es, allant de <strong>500 \u00e0 1500 euros<\/strong>,\nvisent \u00e0 soutenir la mise en place ou le d\u00e9veloppement de <strong>partenariats de recherche<\/strong> entre chercheur\u00b7ses fran\u00e7ais\u00b7es et chercheur\u00b7ses\nd\u2019Afrique australe<strong>. La qualit\u00e9 scientifique des projets constitue le\nprincipal crit\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9valuation<\/strong><strong>.<\/strong> Par\nailleurs, les projets b\u00e9n\u00e9ficiant d\u2019un co-financement seront favoris\u00e9s. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le projet\nsoumis doit \u00eatre cosign\u00e9 par les deux parties prenantes et pr\u00e9ciser les enjeux\nscientifiques et le format de l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement, son calendrier, ainsi que le projet\nde collaboration scientifique plus large dans lequel il s\u2019inscrit. Il convient\nde pr\u00e9ciser \u00e0 quel moment de la collaboration survient l\u2019\u00e9v\u00e9nement (s\u2019il\nl\u2019amorce, la d\u00e9veloppe, etc.) et les \u00e9ventuelles suites envisag\u00e9es.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toutes les demandes de financement pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025 devront\nimp\u00e9rativement nous parvenir <strong>avant le 30\nnovembre 2024<\/strong> (voir modalit\u00e9s et\ndocuments ci-dessous). <strong>Le projet pourra \u00eatre soumis en anglais ou en\nfran\u00e7ais<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les projets s\u2019int\u00e8greront dans l\u2019un des trois axes de recherche de\nl\u2019Institut&nbsp;:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arch\u00e9ologie et pr\u00e9histoire<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pal\u00e9oanthropologie, \u00e9volution des hominin\u00e9s&nbsp;; IFAS-Research promotes and supports <strong>research projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences<\/strong> focusing on at least one country of the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For the second year, IFAS-Research\nis offering funding for the <strong>organization of\nscientific events <\/strong>(conferences, colloquiums, seminars)<strong> to take place, at least in part, at IFAS-Research,<\/strong> in Johannesburg.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To be eligible, events must take\nplace <strong>between March and July or between\nSeptember and November 2025<\/strong>. They must be organised by <strong>a pair of researchers<\/strong>\n(from PhD level), one based in a French institution, the other in an\ninstitution or research centre in one of the twelve countries of the IFAS-Research\nregional mandate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The\nallocated funding will range from <strong>500 to 1,500\neuros<\/strong> per project. It aims to\nsupport the establishment or development of research partnerships between\nFrench and Southern African researchers. <strong>Scientific excellence is the main criteria\nof selection<\/strong>. Additionally,\nco-funded projects will be favoured. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The application must be cosigned by\nboth parties. The submitted project must outline the main scientific objectives\nof the event, its format, its timeline, as well as the wider scientific\ncollaboration project it contributes to. The application should specify at what\npoint in the collaboration the event takes place (whether it initiates it,\ndevelops it, etc.) and what follow-up and further development are planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All funding applications for 2025 must\nimperatively reach us <strong>before the 30<sup>th<\/sup>\nof November, 2024<\/strong> (see details\nand documents below). Projects may be submitted <strong>in French or in English<\/strong>.\n<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projects must be relevant to one of\nthe Institute\u2019s three research areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Archaeology and prehistory<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paleoanthropology, evolution of hominins;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Archaeology and multidisciplinary studies of the Middle Stone Age, Later Stone Age, Iron Age and historical archaeology;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rock art.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heritage, history of art and history (medieval, modern and contemporary) of southern African societies<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Political and social history; History of social and racial hierarchies, history of slavery; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Material, linguistic and cultural circulations; integration of Southern Africa into Atlantic and Indo-Oceanic circulations; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heritage studies, history of art, contemporary approaches to memory in Southern Africa;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>History of ideas and knowledge, cultural history and historical linguistics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contemporary dynamics: urban studies, social, political, economic and cultural changes<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Urban studies (geography, history, sociology, anthropology, etc.): governance and policy, security, spatial justice, right to the city, urban memory;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Migration studies, borders, xenophobia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Political transformations in Southern Africa, election studies, citizenship and its transformations, national construction processes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural and language policy; cultural and creative industries; art and society;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity politics and studies; gender studies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergence and resource capture, economic policies, development economics, labour;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education, youth, social movements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ecology, the environment and society;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health and society.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>List of documents to enclose in
