Il encourage et soutient la <strong>recherche en sciences humaines et sociales<\/strong> portant sur ces espaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L\u2019IFAS-Recherche\nfinance chaque ann\u00e9e des projets de recherche, soit individuels (missions de\nterrain, enqu\u00eates, s\u00e9jours en archives et en biblioth\u00e8que, etc.), soit\ncollectifs (enqu\u00eates collectives, organisation de manifestations scientifiques,\netc.). Les financements attribu\u00e9s par l\u2019IFAS-Recherche s\u2019\u00e9chelonnent <strong>entre 500 et 1&nbsp;500<\/strong>&nbsp;<strong>\u20ac<\/strong>, selon la nature du projet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>La qualit\u00e9 scientifique des projets constitue le principal crit\u00e8re d\u2019\u00e9valuation.<\/strong> Sont \u00e9ligibles les \u00e9tudiant\u00b7es en master 2 et les chercheur\u00b7ses \u00e0 partir du doctorat. <strong>Aucune condition de nationalit\u00e9<\/strong> ne s\u2019applique et les candidat\u00b7es peuvent \u00eatre affili\u00e9\u00b7es \u00e0 des institutions de tous pays, <strong>mais<\/strong> <strong>l\u2019existence<br>(ou la perspective) d\u2019un partenariat durable avec une ou des \u00e9quipes locales<br>est essentielle<\/strong>, en particulier pour ce qui concerne les projets collectifs. <strong>La participation financi\u00e8re d\u2019une autre institution est demand\u00e9e <\/strong>(laboratoires de recherche, UFR, \u00e9coles doctorales, etc.).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Toutes les demandes de financement pour l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2025 devront\nimp\u00e9rativement nous parvenir <strong>avant le 30 novembre 2024<\/strong><strong> <\/strong>(voir modalit\u00e9s et documents\nci-dessous).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NB&nbsp;: L\u2019IFAS-Recherche ne finance pas de frais de scolarit\u00e9<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Les projets doivent s\u2019inscrire dans l\u2019un des trois axes de recherche de l\u2019Institut :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Arch\u00e9ologie et pr\u00e9histoire<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Pal\u00e9oanthropologie, \u00e9volution des hominin\u00e9s&nbsp;; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Arch\u00e9ologie et \u00e9tudes pluridisciplinaires du <em>Middle Stone Age<\/em>, du <em>Later Stone Age<\/em>, de l\u2019<em>Iron Age <\/em>et de l\u2019arch\u00e9ologie historique&nbsp;; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Art rupestre.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Patrimoine, histoire de l\u2019art et histoire (m\u00e9di\u00e9vale, moderne et contemporaine) des soci\u00e9t\u00e9s de l\u2019Afrique australe<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Histoire politique et sociale&nbsp;; histoire des hi\u00e9rarchies sociales et raciales et de l\u2019esclavage&nbsp;; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Circulations mat\u00e9rielles, culturelles et linguistiques&nbsp;; int\u00e9gration de l\u2019Afrique australe dans les circulations atlantiques et indo-oc\u00e9aniques.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Patrimoine, histoire de l\u2019art et enjeux contemporains de la m\u00e9moire en Afrique australe&nbsp;;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Histoire des id\u00e9es, construction des savoirs, histoire culturelle et linguistique.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Dynamiques contemporaines&nbsp;: \u00e9tudes urbaines, mutations sociales, politiques, \u00e9conomiques et (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ifas.org.za\/research\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/budget-IFAS-Research-2025.xlsx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">T\u00e9l\u00e9charger ici le buget pr\u00e9visionnel.<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-css-opacity is-style-wide\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>IFAS-Research<\/strong> (UMIFRE 25, MEAE\/CNRS \u2013 French Institute of South Africa) has a regional mandate covering <strong>twelve countries in southern Africa<\/strong>: Angola, Botswana, Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. IFAS-Research promotes and supports <strong>research projects in the Humanities and Social Sciences<\/strong> focusing on at least one these countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every year, IFAS-Research funds a\nvariety of research projects, either individual or collective (fieldwork,\nsurveys, archival and documentary research, events, etc.). Funds allocated by\nIFAS-Research will range <strong>from 500 to 1,500 \u20ac<\/strong>, depending on the project\u2019s\nnature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Scientific excellence is the main criteria of selection. <\/strong>Master\u2019s students, PhD\ncandidates and post-doctoral or senior researchers are eligible.<strong> <\/strong><strong>No nationality\nrequirement applies<\/strong> and candidates can be affiliated to\nan institution from any country, but <strong>the existence (or the\nprospect) of a sustainable partnership with one or more local teams is\nessential<\/strong>, in particular for collective\nprojects. <strong>The financial participation of another institution is requested\n(research laboratories, UFR, doctoral schools, etc.).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>NB&nbsp;: IFAS-Research does not fund tuition fees.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All funding applications for 2025 must imperatively reach us <strong>before November 30<sup>th<\/sup>, 2024 <\/strong>(see details and documents below). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Projects must be relevant to one of\nthe Institute\u2019s three research areas:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Archaeology and prehistory<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Paleoanthropology, evolution of hominins;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Archaeology and multidisciplinary studies of the Middle Stone Age, Later Stone Age, Iron Age and historical archaeology;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rock art.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Heritage, history of art and history (medieval, modern and contemporary) of southern African societies<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Political and social history; History of social and racial hierarchies, history of slavery; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Material, linguistic and cultural circulations; integration of Southern Africa into Atlantic and Indo-Oceanic circulations; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Heritage studies, history of art, contemporary approaches to memory in Southern Africa;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>History of ideas and knowledge, cultural history and historical linguistics.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Contemporary dynamics: urban studies, social, political, economic and cultural changes<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Urban studies (geography, history, sociology, anthropology, etc.): governance and policy, security, spatial justice, right to the city, urban memory;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Migration studies, borders, xenophobia;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Political transformations in Southern Africa, election studies, citizenship and its transformations, national construction processes;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cultural and language policy; cultural and creative industries; art and society;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identity politics and studies; gender studies;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Emergence and resource capture, economic policies, development economics, labour;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Education, youth, social movements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ecology, the
