IFAS-Research is pleased to present “Homer and the Indian Ocean”, a video reflecting on the exhibition organised by researcher Dr Carla Bocchetti (IFAS-Research), in collaboration with IFAS-Research, at the Franco-Mozambican Cultural Centre, from June 15 to 30, 2021.

This exhibition emerged from Dr Carla Bocchetti’s interest in decentralising the view of Homer, including new voices and new landscapes and extending the geography of his poems beyond the borders of the Mediterranean Sea. To this end, she proposes a dialogue between epic stories and histories of women, with characters and themes coming from the Indian Ocean world.
