Le 6 ao\u00fbt 2026, l’IFAS-Recherche a apport\u00e9 son soutien au colloque international intitul\u00e9 Rethinking Disability : Participation, Equity and Work,<\/em> qui s’est tenu \u00e0 l’universit\u00e9 de Johannesburg. Cet \u00e9v\u00e9nement, financ\u00e9 dans le cadre de l’appel \u00e0 projets 2026 de l’IFAS-Recherche, a \u00e9t\u00e9 organis\u00e9 par Daniela Ortiz Conrado (LISE \u2013 CNRS\/CNAM) et Tinovimba Patsika (universit\u00e9 de Johannesburg).<\/p>\n

R\u00e9unissant des chercheurs et des activistes fran\u00e7ais et sud-africains, le colloque a explor\u00e9 les questions de participation, d\u2019inclusion et d\u2019exclusion auxquelles sont confront\u00e9es les personnes en situation de handicap. \u00c0 travers une s\u00e9rie de tables rondes, les participants ont examin\u00e9 les relations entre handicap, emploi, pauvret\u00e9 multidimensionnelle, capacit\u00e9s et participation sociale, tout en r\u00e9fl\u00e9chissant \u00e0 des moyens concrets de renforcer l\u2019\u00e9quit\u00e9 et l\u2019inclusion.<\/p>\n

L\u2019un des objectifs centraux du colloque n\u2019\u00e9tait pas de comparer les contextes fran\u00e7ais et sud-africain, mais plut\u00f4t d\u2019explorer comment chacun peut \u00e9clairer l\u2019autre. En r\u00e9unissant des perspectives issues de diff\u00e9rents contextes nationaux, institutionnels et disciplinaires, les participants ont d\u00e9montr\u00e9 l\u2019int\u00e9r\u00eat des \u00e9v\u00e9nements scientifiques conjoints pour favoriser le dialogue, susciter de nouvelles questions de recherche et enrichir la compr\u00e9hension des d\u00e9fis sociaux communs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 6 August 2026, IFAS-Recherche supported the international colloquium\u00a0Rethinking Disability: Participation, Equity and Work<\/i>, held at the University of Johannesburg. The event, funded through IFAS-Recherche 2026 call for events, was organised by Daniela Ortiz Conrado (LISE \u2013 CNRS\/CNAM) and Tinovimba Patsika (University of Johannesburg).<\/p>\n

Bringing together researchers and activists from France and South Africa, the colloquium explored issues of participation, inclusion and exclusion experienced by persons with disabilities. Through a series of round-table discussions, participants examined the relationships between disability, employment, multidimensional poverty, capabilities and social participation, while reflecting on practical ways to strengthen equity and inclusion.<\/p>\n

A central objective of the colloquium was not to compare the French and South African contexts, but rather to explore how each can shed light on the other. By bringing together perspectives from different national, institutional and disciplinary settings, participants demonstrated the value of joint scientific events in fostering dialogue, generating new research questions and enriching understandings of shared social challenges.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
