Cette rencontre fait suite au premier colloque tenu en septembre 2025 et rassemble doctorants, jeunes chercheurs et enseignants-chercheurs pour explorer les questions de terrain, d&#8217;\u00e9thique et de production des savoirs en sciences humaines et sociales, \u00e0 travers des s\u00e9ances pl\u00e9ni\u00e8res, des ateliers de r\u00e9vision en petits groupes et une table ronde publique. Les panels et la table ronde sont ouverts au public.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Le 10 septembre \u00e0 13h, une table ronde consacr\u00e9e \u00e0 la s\u00e9curit\u00e9 des chercheurs sur le terrain et au soutien institutionnel r\u00e9unira Laurent Bruxelles (CNRS), Mary Evans (Wits), Nechama Brodie (Wits) et Joel Quirk (Wits), explorant les liens entre sciences humaines et sciences.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><em>Programme ci dessous\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p dir=\"ltr\">On 9 and 10 September 2026, the University of the Witwatersrand\u2019s School of Social Sciences, IRD and IFAS-Research are hosting the second Beyond Binaries colloquium, &#8220;<em>Notes from the Field: Ethnography and Extraction in Southern Africa&#8221;<\/em>. This gathering follows the first colloquium held in September 2025 and brings together postgraduate students, emerging researchers and academics to explore questions of fieldwork, ethics and knowledge production in the humanities and social sciences, through plenary sessions, small-group workshops on paper revisions, and a public roundtable.
