L’IFAS-Recherche, en collaboration avec les chercheuses Amélie Beaudet et Caroline Fonta du projet EndoMap, organise un Colloque International BrAIn Evolution. Cette conférence mettra en lumière les méthodes d’étude des endocastes cérébraux pour mieux comprendre l’organisation cérébrale de nos ancêtres.
Le projet EndoMap, soutenu par le programme PROTEA, réunit des équipes de l’Université du Witwatersrand et du Centre de Recherche Cerveau et Cognition (CerCo) de Toulouse pour reconstituer le cerveau des hominidés fossiles, en utilisant une approche interdisciplinaire mêlant neurosciences, calcul scientifique et paléontologie.
Ce colloque rassemblera des chercheurs en paléosciences, neurosciences et intelligence artificielle pour discuter des avancées dans la reconstitution cérébrale et son importance pour comprendre l’évolution humaine.

IFAS Research, in collaboration with researchers Amélie Beaudet and Caroline Fonta from the EndoMap project, is organizing an International Conference BrAIn Evolution. This conference will shed light on the methods of studying cerebral endocasts to better understand the cerebral organization of our ancestors.
The EndoMap project, supported by the PROTEA program, brings together teams from the University of the Witwatersrand and the Brain and Cognition Research Center (CerCo) in Toulouse to reconstruct the brains of fossil hominids, using an interdisciplinary approach that combines neuroscience, scientific computing, and paleontology.
This conference will bring together researchers in palaeosciences, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence to discuss advancements in cerebral reconstruction and its significance in understanding human evolution.
