Exposition « Places in Me », juillet 2023 | “Places in Me” Exhibition, July 2023
L’équipe du projet COSMO-ART, SANCD, SASDO et l’Université Sol Plaatje sont fiers d’annoncer l’ouverture de l’exposition “Places in Me”, soutenue par l’IFAS-Recherche.
Dans le cadre du projet de recherche COSMO-ART sur la protection et la valorisation des sites d’art rupestre en Afrique australe, l’exposition a été conçue avec des jeunes de Platfontein (près de Kimberley, Afrique du Sud).
Vivant à proximité immédiate du site d’art rupestre de Wildebeest Kuil, ces jeunes nous racontent, par l’image et le texte, ce qui est significatif pour eux dans leur environnement. Deux vernissages sont prévus (le 1er juillet à Platfontein ; le 7 juillet à l’université Sol Plaatje).
L’exposition sera présentée du 1er au 6 juillet à l’école !Xunkhwesa à Platfontein, puis du 7 juillet au 31 août à l’université Sol Plaatje.

COSMO-ART project team, SANCD, SASDO and Sol Plaatje University are proud to announce the opening of the exhibition “Places in Me”, supported by IFAS-Research.
As part of the COSMO-ART research project on the protection and valorization of rock art sites in southern Africa, an exhibition was produced with young people from Platfontein (near Kimberley, South Africa).
Living in the immediate vicinity of the Wildebeest Kuil rock art site, these young people use images and text to tell us what makes sense to them in their environment. Two openings are planned (1 July in Platfontein; 7 July at Sol Plaatje University).
The exhibition will be on show from 1 July to 6 July at the !Xunkhwesa Combined School in Platfontein, then from 7 July to 31 August at Sol Plaatje University.
